Disabling auto start/stop on your Ford Expedition couldn't be easier. This intelligent device restores your preference for auto start-stop automatically which eliminates the need to press the disable auto stop button after each ignition cycle.

We offer 2 forms of the Autostop Eliminator, an in-line harness type and a diagnostic port type. Both Autostop Eliminators provide the same functionality, but there are slight differences with respect to installation, etc. Check out the differences in the device type comparison image.

Can't decide which one to get?
The AE010 Diagnostic Port Type is the easiest to install which makes it our most popular option for '18-'19 Ford Expeditions. IF you have a 2020 or 2021 Ford Expedition, you'll need the AE002 Harness Type.

Harness Type

The harness type plugs into the back of the auto start/stop switch assembly of your Ford Expedition. Installation is easy and only takes a few minutes! Check out the un-cut Autostop Eliminator installation video below to see how easy it is to install the Autostop Eliminator.

Diagnostic Port Type ('18-'19 Only)

The diagnostic port type simply plugs into the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) port under the dash in the driver's side footwell of the Ford Expedition. While plugged in, the device will work to ensure that when you turn auto start/stop off, it stays off.

The device has an LED light to indicate when it's awake and working. Some may prefer the LED to remain OFF so this preference is configurable. To turn the LED light OFF, press and hold the auto start/stop button on the Ford Expedition until the LED light on the device blinks (~5 seconds). Repeat the procedure to turn the LED back ON. After completing this procedure, be sure to check the state of auto start/stop using the OFF indicator on the auto start/stop switch. Assuming your preference is OFF, you may need to press the auto start/stop button briefly once more.

The Autostop Eliminator device can be plugged or unplugged at any time. However, since it does not make any changes to the Ford Expedition, the device must stay plugged in for your auto start/stop preference to be automatically restored.

Excellent Piece of Equipment

I ordered a pig tail connector that connects to the OEM switch on my 2021 Expedition. Was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, 4 days. Well made, very professional looking. Easy install, and has worked well since installing.. No issues. Would highly recommend!

Should have bought sooner

Installation was a breeze with the video showing exactly what needed to be done. 15 minutes tops to installbit and it works great! I was originally going to attempt to remove the start/stop functionality by programming but that would have impacted the BMS system as well. This way I can always go back to factory and it only takes a few screws to access.
