It couldn't be easier to disable auto start/stop on your Jeep Cherokee. This intelligent device simply plugs into the OBD port and restores your preference for auto start-stop automatically. This eliminates the need to press the auto stop button, to disable the ESS system, after each ignition cycle.

The device simply plugs into the port below the dash in the driver's footwell area of the Jeep Cherokee. While plugged in, the Autostop Eliminator device will work with the ESS system to ensure when you turn auto start/stop off, it stays off.

The device has an LED light that can be turned ON to indicate when it's awake and working. To toggle the LED light ON/OFF, press and hold the auto start/stop button on the vehicle until the LED light on the device blinks (~5 seconds). After completing this procedure, be sure to check the state of auto start/stop using the OFF indicator on the auto start/stop switch. Assuming your preference for the ESS system is OFF, you may need to press the auto start/stop button briefly once more.

The Autostop Eliminator device can be plugged or unplugged at any time. However, since it does not make any changes to the Jeep Cherokee ESS system, the device must stay plugged in for your auto start/stop preference to be automatically restored.

Wow!

I installed this on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee. I've hated the 'Auto Start' since purchasing it and the 'A' (annoying) button that turns off that feature. This eliminates having to remember to turn that feature off. The hardest part of installing this is finding the ODB plug under the dash. You won't regret purchasing this product and it will drastically extend the life of your starter.
