AE022 - Slightly easier installation under the left seat, but requires the Reverse Automatic Braking (RAB) option which is only present on the Limited trim. Please do not order this type unless you are 100% certain you have the RAB option.

A better way

I wrote a bad review about the installation over a month ago but they would not post it. It is not easy to install for a small older women. This was the second time trying to install it and I found a better way! I moved driver’s seat all the way up and forward. Then I got in the back from the passenger backseat to be able to reach under the driver’s seat with my right hand. The first time I couldn’t access it with my right hand from the angle I was in and I couldn’t pull it out with my left hand. This time with my body and hand angled right I popped that plug out in two tries. Then I finished installing it like the video.
It was a better way for a smaller person, older person or if you just can’t do it like in the video. No one wants to take a seat out or remove bolts etc. Once I did that I started it up NO more auto stop for me ! Loving it. I think it takes a forum like this for people to gain ideas if they get stuck. So there you have it. It gets 5 stars for me now.

2021 crosstrek sport auto start/stop

I stalled a wwwk ago.
Install was simple. Device works great. When vehicle is shut off start/stop no longer defaults to on. Simply hit oem button to toggle on or off.
