When I bought my used 2021 Crosstrek, I had no idea that "newer" cars came equipped with the autostop feature. In my case, the Crosstrek button wouldn't hold for the duration of my driving. I gave it 6 months and the strain to my starter and me just increased. To say that this device has made my driving experience better is an understatement. I opted for the eyesight version in spite having the RAB option, because I thought it would actually be an easier install. It was intimidating at first (the instructional video for that unit is a Forester and the panel looks different) but in the end, it was easy. I also have to say that I reached out to the company when I was afraid to install it (thinking I may need the RAB one after all) and they responded immediately and with kindness. I can't thank them enough for the customer service and this wonderful invention. It literally saved me from buying another vehicle! 11/10 :)

Works exactly as adverstised

Having watched the installation video for the AE026 unit, I felt the installation would be a breeze. Everything was as expected until I popped the control console down from the ceiling. Unlike the video, there was no clear location to secure the harness, or space to stuff it into. It took about 30 minutes to make some minor modifications to how other harnesses were mounted, then reposition all of the harnesses, including the eliminator, to allow for the control console to be reinstalled. Once all of that was sorted, the unit itself worked as advertised, maintaining whatever setting was selected each time the car was restarted.
