  • AE022 - Requires the Reverse Automatic Braking (RAB) option. This is not the same as rear parking sensors. Please do not order this type unless you are 100% certain you have the RAB option. If your vehicle has RAB, there will be a box mounted under the left seat just like the one in the install video. (The left seat is the driver's seat in North America)
  • AE038 - Fits all North American Subaru Forester trims and options. Installs overhead behind the stereo camera similar to how the AE026 installed into previous model years.

2024 differences

The 2024 Forester is set up a little differently in regards to the placement of the module, the module wiring, and the structure of the surrounding framework. It appears to work fine, but you have to reposition where the module and where the wiring harness male plug/AE038 female plug is anchored to the framework. So, it will connect with the wiring harness female plug and still make sufficient room for the console to fit properly. So far, so good.
